On December 8, Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Secondary School celebrated its 70th anniversary with a grand ceremony. Thousands of alumni, teachers, and students gathered to witness the unveiling of the Choi Kai Yau Science and Technology Building, the Choi Kai Yau Astronomical Observatory, and the Choi Chiu Fan Hall.

Dr. Jonathan Choi, who had previously donated 10 million yuan in 2018, contributed another 10 million yuan to support the school’s future development. During the event, the "Dr. Jonathan KS Choi International Exchange Foundation" and the "Jonathan KS Choi Scholarship," were awarded.  

At the first meeting of the 13th Board of Directors held at the junior high school division, Mr. Johnson Choi, Executive Director of Sunwah Group, was elected as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors.
