On September 12, 2025, Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, Vice President of the China Overseas Friendship Association, Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce(CGCC), the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance and Sunwah Group, visited Guangxi University. Dr. Choi held discussions on cooperation in discipline development, joint talent cultivation, industry-academia-research project alignment, and ASEAN regional exchanges.

Sunwah Group signed a cooperation agreement with Guangxi University and jointly inaugurated the "Choi ASEAN Centre" of Guangxi University.
