The 9th Anniversary Celebration of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, together with the Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs Award Ceremony, was grandly inaugurated on September 21, 2026, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and the University of Macau. In his speech, Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee congratulated the award-winning young entrepreneurs, emphasizing that young people are a vital force for social progress and drivers of economic transformation.

This marked the 7th Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs Selection organized by the Alliance. From over 1,000 applicants, 95 stood out following a rigorous review conducted by renowned universities and media organizations across Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.

Zhang Guozhi, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province; Ms Ng Wai Han‌, Secretary for Economy and Finance of Macao; and Algernon Yau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the Hong Kong SAR, each delivered speeches, offering warm encouragement to the selected young entrepreneurs.

Dr. Jonathan Choi, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the CPPCC and Chairman of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, delivered a welcome address on behalf of the organizing body.

The ceremony also presented commendation certificates to five past awardees who have made outstanding contributions to the development of the Greater Bay Area: Lam Chi-wing, Choi Ka-man, Wong Ngo-shan, So Chan Sze-ting, and Ng Hung-hung. The event featured a global livestream and multi-location connectivity, with over 400,000 viewers watching simultaneously online and offline.
