On September 17, during the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo, the Cambodia Trade, Investment and Tourism Promotion Conference was successfully held at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center. The event was hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and co-organized by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance and Sunwah Group. The event was attended by Dr. Jonathan Choi, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the CPPCC, Chairman of the Alliance, President of the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, and Chairman of Sunwah Group; Liu Youming, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Congress; Samheng Bora, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia; as well as officials, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, and representatives of key enterprises from both countries.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Jonathan Choi stated that the Greater Bay Area will fully leverage its platform, resources, and industrial strengths to empower Cambodia's industrial upgrading, technological innovation, and high-quality development of the real economy, and to promote complementarity, resource exchange, and coordinated progress between China and Cambodia.

During the thematic promotion session, various Cambodian government departments, trust institutions, and financial institutions delivered presentations in turn. The event also featured a concentrated signing ceremony for Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), among other activities.
