On March 31, the CPPCC National Committee reading group held a video meeting of weekly discussions. Dr. Jonathan Choi, the group leader, Standing Committee member of the CPPCC and chairman of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union, delivered a keynote speech.

Reading and performing duties are important activities promoted by Wang Yang, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee. Dr. Choi is the group leader of the reading group of "Enhancing Hong Kong and Macao's integration with China" and the book "Hong Kong's Economic Transformation and Cooperation between the Mainland and Hong Kong" was the study material. The group has 2,358 members with more than 4,600 comments and over 33,000 page views, according to the data until March 28. Dr. Choi has written guidance and sharing essays over 30,000 words.

Dr. Choi said two main characteristics was shown in the reading group's practice: one is to think closely in big-picture terms and focus on the theme; the other is to put theory into practice, share insights and speak out freely, which demonstrates the harmony of consistency and diversity.
