Healthcare is one of the fastest growing industries in the world with expected industrial scale as large as US$1 trillion. World-renowned US economist Paul Pilzer in his book "The New Wellness Revolution" comments that healthcare will be the "The Fifth Wave Fortune" in the next generation after the IT industries. Currently China's healthcare industry is at its preliminary stage and has great potential for development. In 2016, the State Council of PRC in its "2030 healthcare planning framework" advocated the promotion of the healthcare industry as the new driving engine for economic development.

Environmental and healthcare is Sunwah's new business area. In collaboration with the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences, Sunwah plans to build an environmental R&D base in Guangdong Province to serve the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The plan includes the establishment of a healthcare institute, and bring in international educational resources for long term training and development. Sunwah also builds large scale healthcare projects in Yunnan Xishuanghanna and Liaoning Mount Qian.
