On March 31, 2026, Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, President of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong, Chairman of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, Chairman of the Bohai Rim Entrepreneurs Alliance, and Chairman of Hong Kong's Sunwah Group, met with New Zealand Consul General in Hong Kong Peter Lund at the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce. The two sides exchanged views on cooperation opportunities under the 15th Five-Year Plan.

Jonathan Choi Cultural Exchange Center and held discussions with Dr. Jonathan Choi, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), President of the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, Chairman of the Bohai Rim Entrepreneurs Alliance, and Chairman of Sunwah Group. The two sides focused on enhancing grassroots cultural exchanges between China and South Korea and fostering bilateral friendship.

At the beginning of the Lunar New Year, Dr. Jonathan Choi Koon-shum, Standing Committee Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Chairman of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, President of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, Chairman of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Bohai Rim Entrepreneurs Alliance, and Chairman of the Sunwah Group, was invited to visit the Korean Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Seoul. During his visit, he toured various institutions in Seoul and met with representatives from different sectors to engage in in-depth discussions on topics including China-South Korea people-to-people exchanges and economic, trade, and cultural cooperation.

He held discussions with President Xiao Jingru to explore collaborative development opportunities.
