Opening of the "Choi Centre of Chongqing"
The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce(CGCC), the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, Sunwah Group and Jonathan KS Choi Foundation, as well as leaders from the Chongqing Municipal Government, the United Front Work Department, and the Yuzhong District Government. Also in attendance were consuls general and representatives from various countries, including Japan, Italy, Vietnam, Uruguay, Cambodia, the UK, and Myanmar, as well as representatives from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

Sunwah Group and Southwest University Sign Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation.
On the afternoon of October 20, 2025, Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, Chairman of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance and Sunwah Group, visited Southwest University and held talks with Mr. Zhang Weiguo, Secretary of the Party Committee of Southwest University. The two parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on university-enterprise strategic cooperation, agreeing to strengthen collaboration in educational development, scientific and technological innovation, talent cultivation, and international exchanges.

Dr. Jonathan Choi Visits CSCEC Headquarters.
On October 11, 2025, Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, Chairman of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, the Bohai Rim Entrepreneurs Alliance and Sunwah Group, along with his delegation, visited the headquarters of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC). Mr. Wen Bing, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of CSCEC, warmly received Dr. Choi and his delegation. The two sides held discussions on strengthening exchanges and collaborating to explore key regional markets.

Dr. Jonathan Choi is awarded the 6th "Jinghua Award"
On September 30, 2025, the sixth Beijing Jinghua Award for Overseas Chinese was presented. Beijing Mayor Yin Yong awarded the medal to Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, Chairman of the CGCC, the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance and Sunwah Group, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the capital's development.
