2026 China (Guangxi) – Malaysia Business and Investment Cooperation Forum Held in Kuala Lumpur.
On July 23, the 2026 China (Guangxi) – Malaysia Business and Investment Cooperation Forum was held at the Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The forum was co-organized by the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit Secretariat, the Joint Secretariat of the China-ASEAN Business Council, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, and the Malaysia Guangxi Chamber of Commerce. Representatives from government agencies, business associations, and enterprises of both countries attended the event to explore new opportunities for bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

On the evening of July 22, 2026, Chairman Nguyen Cong Chien of Vietnam's Phytopharma Group led a delegation to visit Sunwah Group, holding talks with Group Chairman Dr. Jonathan Choi at the Sunwah Pearl Sky Lounge in Ho Chi Minh City. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on pharmaceutical distribution, medical tourism, biomedical industrial parks, and fund establishment, reaching consensus on forming a long-term strategic partnership.

Dr. Jonathan Choi Leads Delegation to Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair, Meets with Gansu Provincial CPPCC Chairman Zhuang Guotai.
Dr. Jonathan Choi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong, Chairman of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, and Chairman of Hong Kong's Sunwah Group, was recently invited to attend the 32nd China (Lanzhou) Investment and Trade Fair (Lanzhou Fair) hosted by the People's Government of Gansu Province. As head of the Hong Kong and Macao delegation, he led over 50 representatives from Hong Kong and Macao chambers of commerce and enterprises to participate in the fair.

Urumqi Mayor Yahefu Paidula Meets Dr. Jonathan Choi.
On the afternoon of June 26, Yahefu Paidula, Deputy Secretary of the Urumqi Municipal Committee and Mayor of Urumqi, met with a delegation led by Dr. Jonathan Choi at Urumqi Municipal Government. Dr. Choi is a Member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Chairman of the Alliance, Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong, and Chairman of Sunwah Group. The delegation was in Urumqi to attend the 9th China-Eurasia Expo. The two sides exchanged views on project implementation and the promotion of trade cooperation with Central Asian countries.
