On the evening of 2 October, organised by the preparatory committee for HK compatriots celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and co-organised by the Home Affairs and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Home Affairs Department of the HK SAR Government, the "National Day Gala" was solemnly held at the Hong Kong Coliseum.

In the interview, Dr. Jonathan Choi, executive chairman of the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Compatriots' National Day Celebration Preparatory Committee, stressed that this year's party has added youth elements by the organizers, allowing students from Hong Kong universities and primary and secondary schools to participate, which has become a major feature. "We hope to strengthen the education of the national feelings of the next generation and pass it on. The best way to arouse their patriotic enthusiasm is to let them participate in National Day activities that are celebrated by the whole world."
