On January 2, 2026, the inauguration ceremony of the Choi Centre of Yangshuo was held at the city center location where Dr. Sun Yat-sen once stayed. The center was jointly unveiled by Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, Chairman of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce(CGCC) and Sunwah Group; alongside Mr. Sun Guoliang, Vice Chairman of Guilin Municipal CPPCC and Secretary of Yangshuo County Party Committee.

Dr. Choi expressed his hope to collaborate with Yangshuo in leveraging its unique natural and cultural resources to fully harness the "soft power" of culture. The center aims to establish Yangshuo as a distinctive cultural hub by integrating premium cultural resources and hosting events that showcase ethnic charm while maintaining international appeal. Drawing on the operational experience from fifteen Jonathan KS Choi Cultural Centres worldwide, it will organize year-round activities to sustain cultural influence. Serving as a cultural bridge, the center will facilitate the connection between Yangshuo's cultural tourism resources and global markets, while promoting Chinese culture internationally.
