On April 17, 2026, the "Hong Kong-Malaysia Cultural Exchange and Creative Industries Globalization Initiative & Wah! Drama Launch Ceremony," hosted by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, was held in Kuala Lumpur.

Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, Chairman of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, President of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, and Chairman of the Sunwah Group, stated that this initiative will leverage Hong Kong's role as an international hub and Malaysia's position as an ASEAN gateway to strengthen bilateral synergy in culture, creativity, and technology, thereby driving the globalization of the regional creative industry. Ms. Jocelyn Choi, Chairman of Sunwah Media Group and project lead, introduced the platform's development direction and regional strategic layout.

Four Memoranda of Understanding were signed during the event, covering areas including content production, technological application, and market expansion.
