On September 25, the inaugural Kazakhstan-China Investment Forum was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev attended the opening ceremony and delivered remarks. Dr. Jonathan Choi, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the CPPCC, President of the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, and Chairman of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, led a large delegation of renowned Chinese entrepreneurs to attend the forum at the invitation of President Tokayev.

In his opening address, President Tokayev stated that the Kazakhstan-China permanent comprehensive strategic partnership is built on a solid foundation, with cooperation showing a trend of comprehensive development. The President expressed the view that the Kazakhstan-China Investment Forum should serve as a regular platform for direct dialogue between the business communities of the two countries.

Dr. Jonathan Choi noted that China-Kazakhstan economic and trade cooperation exhibits three distinctive features: continuously optimizing structure, pronounced investment-driven growth, and accelerated connectivity. He emphasized that the delegation aims to engage in in-depth exchanges with Kazakh counterparts and achieve cooperation in Kazakhstan's key priority development areas.
