In September 2005, Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Choi officiated at the Unveiling Ceremony of the Choi Koon Shum Museum of Humanities at the Fudan University. The museum was formerly known as Jing Lai Tong, one of the buildings reconstructed to celebrate the centenary of Fudan. The original style of the building was preserved with much improved facilities to pay tribute to and displayed the works of arts and humanities of Fudan over the century.

This museum was named after Mr. Jonathan Choi Koon-shum in recognition of the staunch support given by Mr. Choi as a board of director of Fudan, his contribution to education development, and his donation for the reconstruction of the building. Wing Kum Hall, one of the exhibition halls, was named after Mrs. Choi.

Yu Youren Exhibition Gallery was on the second floor of the museum. Mr. Yu Youren (1879-1964), a journalist, a veteran of the 1911 Revolution, a poet, an educator, a statesman, and President of the Control of Yuan of the Nationalist Government for 34 years, practiced the art of calligraphy as his lifelong pursuit.
