Between March and May 2021, Group Chairman Dr. Jonathan Choi paid a number of courteous visits to the provincial officials in the Northeast Provinces.During the visits, Dr. Choi introduced Sunwah's current joint projects with the northeast region, promoted the establishment of the Bohai Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union, and attended various discussion meetings which were highly appreciated and supported by provincial and city officials.

On 29 March, Liaoning Provincial Party Secretary Zhang Guo-qing and Governor Liu Ning welcomed Dr. Jonathan Choi and his delegation. They had an in-depth exchange on the development of the Hong Kong Centre in Shenyang, the great projects on new energy, technology, culture and tourism, and the preparation works for the establishment of the Bohai Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union.

On 29 March, Liaoning Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Chairman Zhou Bo met with Dr.Jonathan Choi in Shenyang. Vice-Chairman Gao Ke, and Sunwah's Executive Director Johnson Choi joined the meeting. Chairman Zhou Bo said he would fully support Sunwah's projects in Shenyang.

On 29 March afternoon, Shenyang City Deputy Secretary and Mayor Wang Xin-wei and Deputy Mayor Wang Zhong-kun received Dr. Jonathan Choi and Johnson Choi at the Municipal Government Office.

On 30 March, Dalian City Party Secretary and Mayor Chen Shao-wang received Dr. Jonathan Choi and his delegation at the Bangfen Island Hotel. Dr. Choi introduced Sunwah's recent co-operation projects of the Hong Kong Centre, the Zhangzi Island seafood industry, the Sunwah Harbin International Intelligent Industrial Park in Dalian, and the preparation works for the establishment of the Bohai Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union. After the meeting, Sunwah signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Dalian Changhai County Government.

On 5-6 April, Dr. Jonathan Choi visited the Provinces of Jilin and Heilongjiang. He met with the Jilin Province and Heilongjiang Province United Front Work Department Minister Li Jing-hao, and Minister Nie Yun-ling respectively. They discussed the establishment of the Bohai Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union, and explore possible steps to promote development synergies in Bohai Bay Area.

On 5 April morning, the alternate member of the CPC Central Committee and the Jilin Province United Front Work Department Minister Li Jing-hao, met with Dr. Jonathan Choi in Changchun.

On 5 April afternoon, the Heilongjiang Province Party committee member and United Front Work Department Minister Nie Yun-ling met with Dr. Jonathan Choi in Harbin.

On 10 May, Liaoning Province Vice Governor and Party Secretary of the Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) Jiang You-we met with Group Chairman Dr. Jonathan Choi and his delegation. Provincial Department of Commerce Director Song Yan-lin, Provincial Party Committee United Front Work Department Deputy Director Wang Dong-xiu, SASAC Deputy Director Wang Hui-lian, and Sunwah Executive Director Johnson Choi, joined the meeting.

They had an in-depth exchange on Sunwah's cooperation with Liaoning in the seafood, iron and steel, new energy, urban construction and renewal, ecology and healthcare industries.

On 2 May, Party Secretary of the Liaoyang City Huo Bu-gang, and Mayor Wang Yi-bing received a delegation led by Dr. Jonathan Choi, Chairman of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union and Chairman of Sunwah Group. They had an in-depth exchange on strengthening cooperation in the fields of cultural tourism, science and technology, and healthcare.

Before the meeting, accompanied by Mayor Wang Yi-bing, Dr. Jonathan Choi and his delegation visited the Liaoyang Museum, the Cao Xue-qin Memorial Hall, the Wazigou Scenic Area in Gongchangling District and other places.

On 4 May evening, City of Benxi Party Secretary Jiang Xiao-lin, and Mayor Wu Shi-min met with Group Chairman Dr. Jonathan Choi. They had a discussion on cooperation with the Liaoning Vocational College of Medicine in healthcare,vocational education by taking advantages of Benxi's ecological and medical resources to develop cultural tourism and the healthcare industries.
