In the afternoon of August 4, Dr. Jonathan Choi, Dr. Jonathan Choi, Chairman of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneur Union, Chairman of the Hong Kong-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of Sunwah Group, paid a visit to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam in Hanoi (MARD), and met with the Vice Minister, Mr. Tran Thanh Nam.
Dr. Choi introduced Sunwah's development over the 50 years in Vietnam and its close partnership with MARD. He also mentioned that Sunwah is going to cooperate with MARD, including constructing the online Vietnamese shopping mall at various Chinese e-commerce platforms, to promote the circulation of Vietnamese agricultural products in Chinese market and leverage air freight capacity to export more high-quality products to Chinese market.
Vice minister Tran Thanh Nam highly appreciated Sunwah's support to MARD over the years, and thanked the detailed arrangement for the 70-member delegation led by Mr. Nam to visit Laoning, China in 2019. He hoped Sunwah set up more training courses about high-agriculture and Chinese market, invite Sunwah to support the construction of agricultural products and logistics center in Can Tho City and Guangdong province, to promote Vietnamese high-quality products to export around the world.
Mrs. Janice Choi, Advisor and Legal Director of Sunwah Group, Mr. Jesse Choi, Director of Sunwah Vietnam and President of Sunwah Southeast Asia, Ms. Betty Chan, Director of International Relations of Sunwah Group, Ms. Katie Nguyen, Representative of Sunwah Group in Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. Janice Le, Representative of Sunwah Group in Hanoi, and Vietnamese officials from MARD, Metrology and Quality Bureau, and the Trade Promotion Centre attended the meeting.
