On the evening of December 12, a cultural event A Cultural Journey at Palace Museum was hosted at the Hong Kong Palace Museum, jointly organized by Jonathan KS Choi Foundation, Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union and the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce.
The attendees include: Mr. K.K Chan, Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs. Carrie Lam, former Chief Executive, Mr. Zhang Guoyi, Deputy Director of Department of Publicity, Cultural & Sports Affairs of LOCPG, Mrs. Wei Xin, Counselor of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in HKSAR, Dr. Jonathan Choi, Chairman of Jonathan KS Choi Foundation, Dr. Louis NG, Director of Hong Kong Palace Museum, Mrs. Janice Choi, the chief event planner and around a dozen of Consul General of other countries in Hong Kong.
Dr. Jonathan Choi expressed that organizing the cultural event as a celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the Motherland, was a golden opportunity to spread the quintessence of Chinese culture, and to show off the excellent connectivity of Hong Kong on providing a world-class to tell China's story and Hong Kong's story.
The event was a combination of online and offline shows. The symphonic poem A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains, 6th Movement and the excerpt of dance Origin of Dunhuang were played as video recordings, while there are some live performances about Dunhuang dancing and Chinese traditional musical instrument playing. Moreover, It was premiere of the dancing Wearing the Dharma Flying to the Sky,created by choreographer Felix Chen and young artist Jocelyn Choi.
