Dr. Jonathan Choi, Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union, Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce of HK and Chairman of Sunwah Group, was re-elected to the 14th CPPCC Standing Committee Member at the closing meeting of the first session of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC.
Dr. Choi submitted 13 proposals to the conference on various hot-spot issues, covering economy, education, medical care and regional cooperation. Many proposals were related to the construction of the GBA, such as backing "Doubling Plan for Hong Kong", improving the qualification certification of Hong Kong professionals, optimizing the operation mode of high-speed rail and ticketing system for HK residents, supporting the interconnected development of Shenzhen and Hong Kong in "The Northern Metropolis", giving full play to Shenzhen and Hong Kong to the construction of Hetao Innovation and Technology Co-operation Zone and the GBA Pilot Zones for Innovative Development of Digital Economy.
