editor:Sunwah
29 Nov 2018

On 29 Nov 2018, the Choi Kai Yau Education Charitable Trust and the Jonathan K.S. Choi Foundation donated HK$50 million to the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) for the development of a hostel and a cultural centre in the United College. The donation is a continuation of the Choi's families to support CUHK's long term development.

The L-shaped 10-storey Choi Kai Yau Hostel will house the "Jonathan KS Choi Cultural Centre". It is the first Jonathan KS Choi Cultural Centre established in Hong Kong with the aim to promote Chinese culture and cross-cultural exchanges. It is in line with the University's wholeness education approach by providing students a co-operative and interactive learning environment through social activities.
