The Jinan University named a historic building in the University campus the "Choi Koon Shum Museum" which is a main construction to celebrate the University's centenial commemoration. The Unveiling Ceremony was held on 9 November 2006. Dr. Choi donated RMB1 million to support the cultural restoration development of the University. As a historic University for overseas Chinese, the Museum was uniquely designed and displayed valuable overseas Chinese historic pieces and exhibit cultural collections of the University. The Musuem became a new icon of the University and a data centre to explore the past and understand the present.
