
The Guangzhou Secretariat office of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union (the Union) was opened at the Haizhu National Wetland Park on 9 August. Dr. Jonathan Choi, founding chairman of the Union, Associate chairman Mr. SuZhi-gang, Government officials of the Guangdong Province, Haizhu District, representative of the Vietnam Consulate General in Guangzhou, Vice-chairmen of the Union and over 40 corporate members attended the opening ceremony.

Dr. Jonathan Choi spoke at the opening ceremony: The Union was officially established at Qianhai on 18 December 2017. It had gathered general chambers of commerce, industrial and commercial federations of the three regions, and more than 200 leading corporations and heads of various chambers in the Greater Bay Area. The purposes were to facilitate in depth integration, push technology and innovation, support young entrepreneurs, encourage public services and social responsibilities.
The Haizhu National Wetland Park was located at Guangzhou. It was the ecological core of the Greater Bay Area. The Union led the first to establish the coalition of China's wetland parks which was fully supported by the Ministry of National Forestry Wetland Protection and associated departments. The set-up of the Guangzhou secretariat office of Union would further promote joint development of economic and environmental protection in the Greater Bay Area. It also planned to develop a museum focused on environmental protection and ecology.
