The "Forum on Social Welfare and Healthcare in East Asia" was held in Nanjing University International Convention Centre on 30 December. Chairman of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union Dr. Jonathan Choi stressed that the Forum was in response to President Xi's call for attention to comprehensive healthcare protection policy. It was also an immediate action to implementation upon the joint declaration of China, Japan and Korea's co-operations on healthcare projects.
The "China-Japan-Korea heads of government Forum" was held last week and agreed a joint sustainable development on healthcare to the year 2030, and put healthcare, population aging and environmental protection to the top of the agenda. It involved problem solving of aging, food science, elderly home, medical care, and education and strengthening regional co-operations.
Dr. Jonathan Choi revealed that Sunwah would collaborate with the Nanjing City Vocational Institute to launch the Sunwah International Healthcare Institute and would leverage its accumulated advantages on resources with Japan and Korea to push the development of the healthcare industries in China.
The "Forum on Social Welfare and Healthcare in East Asia" gathered industrial experts of the three areas who made speeches on healthcare visions and implementations, and business models. Special round table discussions and experience sharing on "Community care for the elderly international co-operations in East Asia" and "Medical services and protection for the elderly" were also held during the Forum.
