On 15 May, Sunwah and the Suzhou Xiangcheng Economic Development Zone formally signed a Sino-Japanese medical industry project cooperation agreement. Standing Committee Member of National Committee, CPPCC, PRC, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area Entrepreneur Union Chairman and Sunwah Group Chairman Dr. Jonathan Choi, the United Front Work Department of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee Deputy Director and the Provincial Overseas Chinese Affairs OfficeDirector Wang Hua, Xiangcheng District CommitteeParty Secretary Gu Haidong, District ChiefJi Jing, and representatives from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation and the Hitachi (China) attended the ceremony.

Prior to the ceremony, Deputy Director Wang Hua exchanged views with Dr. Choi on the cooperation between Sunwah and Japan in the medical industry projects. Dr. Choi said that the group hadbeen in cooperation with Japan in the healthcare industry, education and scientific research. As the world's leading medical technology, proton heavy ion technologyhas a high threshold but a great influence and benefit to mankind. It is hoped that the co-operation project can be landed on Suzhou Xiangcheng District very soon.
