Dr. Jonathan Choi, Permanent Honorary President of CCGC and chairman of Sunwah Group, attended the luncheon on "Trade and Investment between China and Canada", and exchanged ideas with Ms. Rachael Bedlington, Consul General of Canada in Hong Kong, introducing the latest development of business environment in the Greater Bay Area and Canada respectively.
Dr. Choi said that Hong Kong has close ties with Canada and can serve as a bridge to help Canadian enterprises explore mainland market. Canadian investors could also make use of Hong Kong's "super-connector" role to expand into mainland market and its neighboring regions, and seize the post-pandemic business opportunities in Hong Kong, Canada and the Greater Bay Area.
The Consul General pointed out that Canada and Hong Kong have close economic and trade relations and over 100 Canadian companies had set up branches/offices in Hong Kong. She looked forward to meeting new friends and business partners in Hong Kong through CGCC.
